Its center is along Zaria road in Bassa to the north-east of the Area at 9°38′00″N9°47′00″E. Its residents are predominantly Buji, even though the town has other settlers around based on its proximity to the city capital and the NNPC depot in Plateau state.

The town has boundaries with Jos Northof Plateau State. It is the gateway to the State’s capital when coming from Zaria, Kaduna State and Kano State as well. Mista-Ali as this land is called in some instances is the adulterated name for Messrs Mc Alley, a mining camp established in 1921 as Messrs Mc Alley & Nicholls. The camp was located in the place we popularly called Office. This adulteration can be attributed to mistakes in the pronunciation of Mc Alley as Mista-Ali or Mr Ali.

Mc Alley is Located at 12km, off Zaria Road, from Good Luck Ebele Jonathan road, Gada Biu and Farin Gada Road, Jos – Plateau StateNigeria. It’s in Pengana Constituency, Bassa LGA of Plateau State. The Climate reflects the beauty of Plateau State as it is surrounded by mountains. This land has a lot on offer in terms of Agriculture , Tourism , Mining , Quarrying , Trade and commerce. Because of the serenity of the Land, it “hosts” the annual NCCF Camp among other events.
