National Festival Of Arts and Culture (NAFEST) kicks off the 2020 edition in Plateau state on Sunday 22nd November, 2020 with grand performances at Langfield Leisure Park.

Dignitaries at the opening were led by Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau state, Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, Otumba Runsewe, DG NCAC, Mrs Tamwakat Welli, Commissioner of Tourism Plateau State amongst others.

Yesterday’s event kicked off as the first official activity of NAFEST Plateau 2020 with Grand performances including cultural dances, drumming, and masquerade displays.

Governor Lalong in his welcoming remarks said Plateau is excited to host NAFEST 2020.
He said “We have put in every effort to ensure a successful NAFEST to set a standard for other NAFESTs”.

Lalong further disclosed that Plateau is working assiduously to regain her place as the home of home, videos, music, fashion, arts, and Culture. The Plateau Governor went on to release a dove to signify peace.

Activities will continue on Monday, 23rd November, 2020 with Opening ceremony featuring performances from Ice Prince, Dantala and group, Ezra Jinang and others at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium starting 12noon.
