The Plateau State Information And Communication Development Agency trains about 110 rural kids. These kids will be graduating today, the 12th of December with IT certifications.
According to the Director General of the Agency Mr David Daser, Bridging the inequality gap in terms of digital access and training is a major strive of the Governor Lalong’s digital transformation project.

The techUplift project is an attempt to train kids in rural communities on digital education.

While it is the hope of the Government of Plateau state to scale this program for a wider reach so that more kids in rural communities would benefit, a quick look at how this initiative can be institutionalised is necessary for the purpose of sustainability.
