While other grains there may be safe for consumption, the Ministry of Agriculture appeals to the general public not to consume the looted wheat seed from the National Agricultural Seed Council’s warehouse in Jos.

The wheat seed is not fit for human consumption as it has been treated with agrochemicals, and it is for meant to be distributed to the dry season farmers in Plateau State.

The Seeds are generally treated with pesticides and have been kept for distribution to farmers for dry season farming.
